Multiplication by 25

There is an easy way to find the product of a number when multiplied by 25.

Here below is the procedure in 2 steps. It is later illustrated with an example.

• Step a: Divide the given number by 4.
• Step b: Then multiply the result above by 100.

That will be the final result.

Step a: 88 ÷ 4 = 22
Step b: 22 x 100 = 2200

Result is then: 2200

Multiply 420 by 25:
Step a: 420 ÷ 4 = 105
Step b: 105 x 100 = 10500
